Voluntary
Mild Water Shortage |
Voluntarily limit the irrigation
of landscaped areas to even days of the month for customers with street
addresses, box numbers, rural postal route numbers ending in an even
number (0,2,4,6 or 8) including locations without addresses and odd days
of the month for customers with street addresses, box numbers, or rural
postal route numbers ending in an odd number (1,3,5,7 or 9). |
Water customers are also
requested to practice water conservation to minimize or discontinue use
for non-essential purposes.

Stage 2
Mandatory
Moderate Water Shortage |
Limit irrigation of
landscaped areas to even days of the month for customers with street
addresses, box numbers, rural postal route numbers ending in an even
number (0,2,4,6 or 8) including locations without addresses and odd days
of the month for customers with street addresses, box numbers, or rural
postal route numbers ending in an odd number (1,3,5,7 or 9).

Stage 3
Mandatory
Severe Water Shortage |
All requirements of Stage 2
shall remain in effect during Stage 3 except:
Limit
landscape watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems at each service
address to once every seven days as assigned below with the exception that foundations and
new plantings (first year) of shrubs and trees may be watered for up to 2
hours on any day with a handheld hose or soaker hose.
Water only on your assigned alphabetical day.
(First letter of your last name designates your watering day.)
A-D - Monday
E-H - Tuesday
I-M - Wednesday
N-S - Thursday
T-Z - Friday
No watering on Saturday or Sunday.
Prohibit
outdoor watering with sprinklers between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Prohibit washing or rinsing of vehicles with a hose.
Prohibit operation of ornamental fountains if they use
treated water.
Existing
swimming pools may not be drained and refilled except to replace normal
water loss. |

Stage 4
Mandatory
Emergency Water Shortage |
All requirements of Stages 2 and
3 shall remain in effect during Stage 4 except:

Irrigation of landscaped areas is absolutely prohibited. |
 | Use of water to wash any motor vehicle,
motorbike, boat, trailer, airplane or other vehicle is absolutely
prohibited. |
